A shipment is scanned in against its purchase order or manifest. The moment it is scanned, the item has a named place instead of being somewhere in the building.

The system picks the position based on size, weight, velocity, and what is already there, so a two-person sectional does not end up on a top rack.

Cycle counts, adjustments, and reservations are recorded against the location holding the freight, so what the system says is what a crew finds when they walk to the spot.

What is warehouse optimization and inventory control?
It is the module that runs the building itself: where every zone, aisle, and bin sits, how full each one is, where a received item should go, and how picked freight gets staged for the truck. It works at the level of physical locations rather than stock totals across channels.
Our ERP already tracks inventory. Why a separate system?
An ERP knows how many units exist. It rarely knows which bin they are in, whether the rack holding them is full, or which staging lane the picked freight is sitting in. Those are location facts created on the floor, and they are what determine whether a truck leaves loaded and on time.
How does the warehouse connect to delivery routes?
Freight is staged in the group it ships with, so a picked order is already grouped by the run it leaves on. That staged group flows into load plans and dispatch, which is the handoff between the warehouse and the road.
Does it handle freight that will not fit a rack?
Yes. Floor positions are mapped alongside racking and bins, so a sectional on the floor is a tracked location rather than an item somewhere in the building. Capacity is measured by the space taken rather than by unit count.
How long does implementation take?
Most operations are running the building in weeks. Zones, aisle and bin naming, putaway rules, and staging lanes are account settings rather than custom development, so a new warehouse can be mapped and tested without a build cycle.
