Route control from web, service levels, warehouse fixes.
Roles: Release Notes

Version 3.26.06.15

Feature Enhancements

Web App β€” Order Management

Shipper-Level β€œRequire Product Category on Order Entry”

The β€œRequire Product Category on Order Entry” setting can now be configured per shipper instead of only at the account level, letting a licensee enforce the requirement for shippers with a product-category catalog while relaxing it for shippers that don’t have one.

Key Enhancements:

  • New shipper-level configuration for β€œRequire Product Category on Order Entry”, with the existing account-level setting used as a fallback when no shipper-level value is set.
  • Licensees can now onboard shippers without a product-category catalog without turning off the requirement account-wide.

Web App β€” Service Levels

Custom Service Levels Can Now Be Deactivated

Custom service levels can now be marked Inactive so they can no longer be selected on new orders, without deleting them or affecting orders that already reference them.

Key Enhancements:

  • New Active/Inactive status field on custom service levels; levels are Active by default.
  • Inactive service levels are hidden from selection on new work, while existing assignments are unaffected.

Warehouse & Inventory

Dimensionless Items Can Now Move to GIMS

Items with no length, width, or height set could previously be fulfilled onto a live order but were blocked from moving back to GIMS with a missing-height error. That validation has been removed.

Key Enhancements:

  • Items without dimensions can now be moved to GIMS without triggering a height-validation error.

Printed Label: Warehouse Pick Location Replaces Last Mile Truck Name

The optional β€œLast Mile Truck Name” field on printed shipping labels has been replaced with the manifest’s warehouse pick location, at Pulse’s request.

Key Enhancements:

  • Advanced Settings toggle and label preview now reference Location instead of Truck Name.
  • Printed labels display the manifest’s pick location when the setting is enabled, and print nothing when no location value is available.

Route Planner & Driver App

Route Controllers Can Now Start and End Routes from the Web

Dispatchers can now start or end a driver’s Last Mile route directly from the web app, for cases where the driver can’t or forgets to do so from the mobile app.

Key Enhancements:

  • Route start and end actions, previously available only in the Driver mobile app, are now also available to route controllers/dispatchers on the web.

More Reliable End-of-Route Detection

Ending a route no longer depends on drivers completing stops in sequence. The decision now happens on the server, which evaluates every stop’s status after each completion, and drivers also have a manual β€œEnd Route” option available at any time.

Key Enhancements:

  • Auto end-route logic moved from the mobile app to the server, preventing routes from closing early when a driver completes stops out of sequence.
  • Drivers can now manually end a route at any time from the mobile app.

Defect Fixes

Warehouse & Inventory

Category Value Removal Now Enforced Consistently

Several issues with the inventory item Category field have been fixed: the field could sometimes be cleared even when β€œRequire Category on Order Entry” was enabled, and clearing it (when allowed) didn’t always succeed or show the expected warning.

Key Fixes:

  • Editing an inventory item now blocks clearing its Category value when the β€œRequire Category on Order Entry” flag is enabled, at both the UI and API level.
  • Category value removal, when permitted, is now applied consistently, without requiring a page refresh or repeated attempts.
  • The warning message for blocked Category removal now appears consistently.

Duplicate Serial Numbers No Longer Block Relocation

An item could fail to relocate on the Warehouse app if its serial number matched one already used by another item in a terminal status. Relocate now uses the already-resolved item id instead of re-resolving by serial number, so it no longer collides with unrelated items sharing the same serial number.

Key Fixes:

  • Relocating an item by scanning its serial number now succeeds even when another, terminal-status item shares the same serial number.

Item Location Now Displayed on Inventory Manifests

The Content tab of inventory manifests previously showed only the region for each item’s current location, not the specific location name.

Key Fixes:

  • The inventory manifest Content tab now displays the item’s specific location name, not just its region.

Pending-Arrival Items Now Shown When Filtering by Hub

In the Unallocated Items SKU and Items views, pending-arrival items were excluded from results whenever a hub filter was applied, because the filter didn’t account for those items’ destination region.

Key Fixes:

  • Pending-arrival items now appear when filtering by hub, matched by their destination region.

Pricing & Invoicing

Rating Fixed for Short-Distance FOB Orders

Some Services FOB orders were rating in a distance tier well beyond their actual distance, because the rate lookup compared zip-to-zip distance rather than address-to-address distance.

Key Fixes:

  • Corrected the distance basis used for rate lookups so short-distance FOB orders rate in the correct tier.

Invoice Creation Restricted to a Single Shipper’s Orders

The Create Invoice dialog previously allowed adding orders from different shippers onto the same invoice.

Key Fixes:

  • The β€œ+” add-orders action on the Create Invoice page has been removed, so an invoice can no longer be built from multiple shippers’ orders in that flow.

Route Planner & Manifest

Linked Orders Now Display Items in New Route Planner

Stops with linked orders were showing 0 items in the new Route Planner even though the linked orders contained items.

Key Fixes:

  • Stops with linked orders now show the combined items from all linked orders, without needing to open each order separately.

Orchestruck Route View No Longer Opens to a Blank Screen

Opening a route from the Orchestruck page previously landed on a blank screen instead of the General Info tab.

Key Fixes:

  • Opening a route from Orchestruck now correctly defaults to the General Info tab.

Pickup Calendar Available Dates Fixed

Available dates were not being highlighted in the pickup calendar for orders using pickup scheduling.

Key Fixes:

  • Available dates are now correctly highlighted in the pickup calendar.

Driver & Warehouse Mobile Apps

Driver App Completed Times No Longer Off by Time Zone

Completed times for delivered stops could display up to six hours off between order details and the Tracking page, and could even show a completion time earlier than the driver’s arrival time.

Key Fixes:

  • The driver app now sends delivery timestamps consistently, so completed times match between order details and Tracking, and no longer appear earlier than arrival time.

Route Start Timestamp Now Consistent in Manifest Tracking

The β€œRoute has started” tracking record could show a mismatched date and time between its Date and Description fields.

Key Fixes:

  • The Date and Description timestamps for the β€œRoute has started” tracking record are now consistent.

Warehouse Mobile β€œPickup By Customer” Time Now Shows AM/PM Correctly

The completed timestamp recorded from the β€œPickup By Customer” action on the Warehouse mobile app displayed only the hour, without AM/PM or a 24-hour equivalent.

Key Fixes:

  • β€œPickup By Customer” completion timestamps now display with AM/PM (or 24-hour time) as expected, on both the tracking event and the order’s Completed field.

Notifications

β€œMax User Reached” Email Now Sent to Client Admin

When a client account reached its maximum allowed number of users, the expected notification email to the client’s admin was not being sent.

Key Fixes:

  • The β€œmax user reached” email notification is now sent to the client admin when the account’s user limit is reached.

Customer SMS Now Shows Correct Delivery Date After Reschedule

After an order was rescheduled to a new manifest, the customer SMS notification showed the original scheduled delivery date instead of the updated one, though the delivery window/time was correct.

Key Fixes:

  • Customer SMS notifications now reflect the latest scheduled delivery date after an order is rescheduled to a new manifest.

Web App

Shipper Filter Now Shows Selected Shippers Correctly

On grids that don’t hydrate the shipper filter from the URL (such as Unallocated), the shipper filter indicated a selection was active but didn’t display the selected shipper name(s) until the user searched again.

Key Fixes:

  • The shipper filter now displays selected shippers correctly on affected grids.

Outbound Freight Departure Date Now Defaults Correctly

Creating an outbound freight manifest directly from an order left the Departure Date empty, instead of defaulting to today’s date as it does everywhere else outbound freights are created.

Key Fixes:

  • Departure Date now defaults to today when an outbound freight manifest is created from an order, consistent with other entry points.
